TWO 5-day, 40-hour Baader Technician classes will be offered in Alaska in April, 2026 (post A-season) at the Kodiak Seafood and Marine Science Center, instructed by Baader company technicians. two options ARE available : Basic and Advanced. 
 
April 20-24, 2026
Basic Baader Technician class (Prerequisite is 1-2 years of general mechanic experience) focusing on high-speed filleting machines (212/52). Topics to be covered include: Sharpening knives, Basic assembly, Standard settings, Wear and tear,  Reading electrical schematics, skinner training (BAADER 052), Running fish over the machine.
A final exam, passed, will result in a BAADER certificate.

April 27-May 1, 2026
Advanced Baader Technician Class (Prerequisites:  Focusing on high-speed filleting machines (212/52). Topics to be covered include: Refresh basic machine knowledge, Electrical fault finding/analysis, Parameters, Production adjustments, Running fish over the machine.
A final exam, passed, will result in a BAADER certificate.
